So he may not look a lot like me (at least I don't think so), but he's definitely my kid. Paddy HATES bedtime.
We have been doing a bedtime "routine" for the last 2 months. It involves going to his room, sitting in the lazy boy (yes we have a lazy boy in the nursery), reading 2 books, and rocking to sleep with some soft music. He has apparently figured out that going into the room and sitting in the chair with Dad means its sleepy time. The last 2 nights as soon as Pat sits down, Paddy starts crying. If he stands up and walks out of the room, the crying stops. It would be funny except it makes bedtime hard.
He's really a good guy though. He's been treating us with lots of smiles, and cooing and has starting laughing just a bit. And when he does go to sleep at night, he's been sleeping between 6 and 9 hours (well, most of the time, sometimes he wakes up every 3 hours for fun). Even when he wakes up in the middle of the night you get to see this face, and how can you be mad?
