Our main man is finally clapping. Though I realize this shouldn't bring me as much happiness as it does, well, it does. I've been showing Paddy how to clap for what seems like forever. For the longest time he would take my hands and clap them together. He would bang two objects together. He would clap his hands on his head. He would never clap his hands together. So I gave up on clapping and figured he'd do it when he was good and ready.
We moved on to the "So Big" game. How big is baby Patrick? So Big. This game is apparently a lot of fun, because he picked up on that one right away. We ask, he throws both hands up above his head and smiles. Yay! He is listening to us.
Then today, we played So Big and clapped after he showed us. And much to my delight, he clapped back. YAY!! He claps. You'd think he just go a full ride to college for his research in the field of alternative fuel based on our excitement.
The little things he does really are pretty exciting (well to us anyway)
